LANGUAGE OUTREACH: Creating a Multi-Lingual 311 Communication Strategy

Question/Comment: Can the city do CTY calls in other languages? Can it create a website and 311 system that is multi-lingual?

City Update 9/23/2009: The 311 call center has on duty during regular business hours two speakers of the top three non-English languages in Somerville – Spanish, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole. It is a goal of the City to provide CTY calls in other languages, however, we have not figure out the logistics of this yet.
