PARKS: Community Path Drainage

Question/Comment: Is it possible to address the drainage problem on the community path, in particular around Highland Road and Lexington Park?

City Update 5/26/2009: The City's goal is to create a community garden while also improving drainage on the bike path. The City used grant money to carry out soil testing. Contamination was found, which requires clean up. Also, clay was found below the topsoil which affects how the solution to the drainage issue needs to be designed. The City must now work to identify funds to complete clean up and drainage.

City Update 5/19/2008: The City currently does not have sufficient funding to add drainage to the path. However, the City is looking into a more comprehensive way to address drainage on the path that could be combined with other future renovation and construction along the path.
