TRAFFIC: Concern about Cut-Through Traffic at Hamlet and Highland

Question/Comment: Residents are concerned about drivers using Hamlet Street as a cut-through at rush hour and about drivers failing to stop at the stop sign at Hamlet and Boston Avenue. The intersection of Hamlet Street and Highland Avenue is also a concern.

City Update 11/16/2009: The Traffic Department reports that they have not heard others express concern about cut-through traffic at this intersection. If more residents have concerns, the Traffic Engineering Department can re-examine the intersection. To share concerns with the City, please call 311 or work with your ward aldermen to coordinate with neighbors.

City Update 2/10/09: Illegal parking at the intersection is being addressed by a PCO every 40 minutes. Failure to stop at stop signs a police issue.

City Update 5/14/08: Traffic and Parking (T&P) will examine the intersections.
