TRAFFIC: Cut-Through Traffic on Dane Street

Question/Comment: Please determine if there's any way to address problem of cars going over Dane bridge very quickly. Also, Dane Street should not be a cut through. Finally, ideally there would be a traffic light from Dane onto Somerville Ave and from Dane Ave onto Dane Street.

City Update 11/25/09:  Signals at this intersection should be activated in the near future.  However, it is a State requirement to have all new lights blink for 30 days prior to them coming fully online.

City Update 3/14/09: Signals have been installed, though are not yet activated. Eliminating Dane St as a cut through will cause shifts in traffic pattners forcing more cars into already overburdened union square intersection. Traffic flow in this area is being examined through union square traffic study.

City Update 6/12/08: Signals will be put into place with the Somerville Ave Reconstruction.
