QUALITY OF LIFE: Water meter readings

Question/Comment: A resident would like to know why water meter reading are infrequent, despite the fact that the City has a new automated, wireless meter reading system.  He notes that the meters in his building were last read on November 15th, and he still has yet to receive a water bill (as of February 5th).  He would like to see billing for water use operate in a more timely manner.

City Update 2/9/10: The City's wireless water meter project includes a plan to switch to a new water billing system with more frequent billing periods once all (or a vast majority) of the new wireless water meters are installed later this year.
