QUALITY OF LIFE: Pavement at Powder House School

Question/Comment: A resident would like to request that the Department of Public Works clean or use a street sweeper on the black top at the old Powder House School.  She notes that there are lots of sticks and broken glass on the ground.  Her children like to ride their bikes and tricycles there and with a little sprucing up, it might be a nice spot for other little cyclists as well.  She suggests that a small "roadway" could be spray painted for this purpose.

City Update 3/16/10: Alderman Trane requested that the Commissioner of Public Works clean the area around the Powderhouse School and run the street sweeper over the play area during the Aldermen's March 11th meeting. The cleaning of this lot is now on the Department of Public Work's agenda.
